LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 6, 2026) – The Little Rock Zoo is buzzing with excitement to host Bugtopia! Wonder Magnified! at the Zoo March 21 to September 20, just in time for spring break. The show will begin with an exclusive preview night for Zoo members on March 20 from 5pm-7pm.
This immersive experience features sculptures, climbable nature play elements, animatronics and interactive learning spaces that magnify the world of insects beneath our feet. A 12-foot-long jumping stick, eight-foot-long monarch butterfly, 15-foot-tall praying mantis and a climbable six-foot long caterpillar are just a few of the Bugtopia! bugs guests will encounter along the way.
Bugtopia! is included with paid zoo admission and takes place on zoo grounds. Bugtopia! features 21 sculptures in all with several sculptures that are climbable and others that are animatronic. The show will feature educators from the Zoo’s Conservation Learning and Engagement area that will lead guests in interactive learning opportunities about insects and their importance to our world.
The whimsical installation is created by Dino Don, Inc., an international leader in creating educational animatronic exhibits and attractions for zoos, science centers, theme parks and other organizations. The Bugtopia! show is made possible by a generous contribution from the Arkansas Zoological Foundation for the Little Rock Zoo.
Sponsorships of Bugtopia! bugs are still available. Anyone interested can contact zoopartner@littlerock.gov. For more information visit LittleRockZoo.com/visit/bugtopia.
