Blue and You Sensory Garden

Play in the Blue and You Sensory Garden!

Join us on the second and fourth Sundays of each month from 1-2pm in the Blue and You Sensory Garden! We will be hosting outdoor programs designed to cultivate curiosity and wonder of nature that surrounds us every day.  We will explore the world right outside our door, under our feet, and in the sky.  This program is designed for families with younger children but is open to all who wish to cultivate their own curiosity and wonder of the world around.

Nature Play Pop-Ups are free with Zoo admission.

March

• Sunday March 10^th: Let’s get messy! Did you know dirt is more than just fun to play in? It is also an ecosystem all its own.  Join us to discover life in the soil and help us prepare our gardens for spring!
• Sunday March 24^th: The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out! Not only do the worms feed the birds, but they help to feed us as well! Join us as we get to know these squiggly creatures.

April

• Sunday April 7^th: Spring has sprung, and new life has begun! Join us as we explore the cycles of life that excite our senses.
• Sunday April 21^st: Celebrate Earth Day as we play in the dirt and brighten up the Sensory Garden with flowers for our pollinator friends!

May

• Sunday May 5^th: Summer is on its way, and it is time to get the last of the vegetables planted.  Join us as we finish planting our summer garden and create garden art.
• Sunday May 19^th: Flowers, flowers, flowers! With spring in full swing and summer on its way, join us as we celebrate beautiful blooms with crafts and activities for the whole family!
