LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 14, 2026) – The Little Rock Zoo and Hiland Dairy are gearing up for the annual Hiland Dairy Dollar Day, Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Little Rock Zoo. All guests will enjoy entry to the Zoo for just $1, with free parking, making it the perfect opportunity to experience these fascinating new attractions. Hiland Dairy products are also available for $1, while supplies last. This event, funded by longtime Zoo donor Hiland Dairy, is popular with families across the state and is one of the busiest days of the year.
Guests will also experience the Zoo’s seasonal attraction, Bugtopia, featuring animatronic bugs and larger-than-life sculptures such as an 8-foot monarch butterfly, a 15-foot praying mantis, and a 6-foot caterpillar. Guests will also get a chance to take pictures with, climb on, and interact with some of the Zoo’s capybara sculptures (hiding in plain sight) around the Zoo. These vibrant art installations are on-site to celebrate the capybara’s return to the Zoo in late 2026.
Hiland Dairy is an annual sponsor of the Zoo and has committed over $900,000 through cash sponsorships and in-kind product donations over the last 17 years. Hiland is again renewing their annual commitment to the Zoo in in-kind product and cash sponsorship, including a $10,000 capital gift. They will also sponsor the Zoo’s GloWild fundraising event in November. Formerly Coleman Dairy, Hiland Dairy is proud to sponsor this Dollar Day at the Zoo, bringing family fun to families across Arkansas.
Of course, July means soaring temperatures. Refillable water bottles are welcome, hydration stations are available throughout the Zoo, and first aid tents will be on site. For refreshments, Cafe Africa will be open, along with several food trucks.
“The Little Rock Zoo always looks forward to welcoming guests to our annual Hiland Dairy Dollar Day. Guests will have a chance to see exciting habitats, learn from the Bugtopia show, interact with our capybara sculptures, and enjoy a day at the Zoo with their family,” said Susan Altrui, Director of the Little Rock Zoo.
Mike Flagg, representative of Hiland Dairy, shared that Hiland Dairy is proud of this multi-year partnership with the Little Rock Zoo because “the Little Rock Zoo is all about families. We love to serve this community.” Flagg also shared that he was “excited for the future of the Zoo and happy for so many families to be able to enjoy the Zoo.”
