It’s time for a big reveal! Join us for a Penguin Chick Gender Reveal Party as we share the exciting news about our newest African penguin chicks. The results are in, and we’re ready to celebrate the big announcement with you!
Fun Fact: Male and female African penguins look nearly identical, with no external features that tell us whether a chick is a boy or a girl. To find out, our veterinary team performs a simple blood test.
Bring the family and help us welcome these little ones while discovering more about African penguin conservation and the role you play in supporting it.
African penguins are critically endangered, and the Little Rock Zoo proudly supports conservation efforts through the Species Survival Plan (SSP), the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) SAFE program, and Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB).
