Join us as we celebrate Babe’s Birthday!
Our Asian elephant Babe is turning 51, and we’re celebrating with a Paw Patrol–themed birthday bash! Watch her enjoy special birthday enrichment, meet a few surprise guests, and hear from our keepers about her favorite treats and activities. Come cheer on Babe, see her explore her themed surprises, and join in the fun for this very special elephant!
She may be the youngest of the elephants, but she’s also the largest, weighing in at an impressive 11,700 pounds. Babe is a social butterfly and an enthusiastic painter whose artwork often helps support conservation efforts. She is easily recognized by the distinctive star-shaped brands on each of her hips—markings applied during her time in Burma (now Myanmar) to reflect the country’s flag and identify her as a working elephant.
Fun Fact: Elephants have been part of the Little Rock Zoo family since 1937, beginning with the arrival of Ruth. Since then, many remarkable elephants have called our Zoo home. 11:00 Paw Patrol–themed enrichment for the elephants, featuring a special visit from our local firefighters and their firetruck!
11:30 Sing Happy Birthday to Babe! Cupcakes and Hiland Punch will be available while supplies last.
