Endangered Species Day

MAY 15, 2026
Join Us for Endangered Species Day at the Zoo!

Wildlife helps keep ecosystems healthy, from pollinating plants to maintaining balance in nature. Yet many species are at risk due to habitat loss, pollution, and illegal wildlife trade. You can help by planting native plants, reducing plastic use, and choosing sustainable products. Visit the Zoo to learn how these small actions add up to big impacts for wildlife around the world, and how you can be part of the solution.

Fun Fact: Freshwater ecosystems are now one of the most endangered habitats in the world as a result of human development, pollution, and climate change.
