Zoo for All
Why the Zoo Access for All Initiative?

Inspiring others to value and conserve the natural world is the mission of Little Rock Zoo and something our team is proud to carry out each day. But we know that for some families, a trip to the Zoo may present financial and other barriers.

The Zoo Access for All Initiative aims to help overcome barriers that may exist for visitation and ensure that all area children and other audiences can connect with our amazing animals.

Little Rock Community Days

Are Little Rock Community Days the same as the SNAP/EBT Benefit?

No, Little Rock Community Days is a part of Zoo for All, but a separate program.  It is for the benefit of the residents of Little Rock who can provide proof of their residency with a driver’s license, photo ID, or utility bill.  There will be four (4) days each year when those residents may come to the Zoo for $2 and park for $1.

Why are Community Days just for Little Rock residents?

The intent behind the Little Rock Community Days is to give back to the local community in and around the Zoo and to the taxpayers who fund the Zoo. The voters of Little Rock provide 50% of the funding for the Little Rock Zoo and also provided funding for the 2022 Bond that will help build new exhibits at the Zoo. (The other 50% of the Zoo’s budget is provided for by revenue we collect at the front gate, concessions, rides, events, etc.)
