Elephant Experience

Elephant Experiences –Tuesdays @ 1:30pm  

Step into the world of an elephant keeper and see how they build relationships with our amazing elephants! Choose from one of two interactive opportunities as you hear stories about our herd, see them up close, and make memories with your friends and family. 

Bathe an elephant -$150.00/person

• Available March through October
• Help scrub down one of our elephants and learn why elephant baths are so important for our herds’ health!

Paint with an elephant - $150.00/person

• Available year-round
• You choose your paint colors and hold the canvas while the elephant paints!
• Paintings are limited to one (1) painting per family/group.

 Details:

• All day Zoo admission is included for you to explore the Zoo before and after your experience.
• Each experience is 30 minutes in length
• This experience is limited to guests who are ages eight (8) and up. If participant is under the age of 12, an adult will need to be registered with them.
• This experience is limited to six (6) guests per behind-the-scenes tour and only one family/group is booked on a single date.
• For your safety, close-toed shoes are required.

Accessibility:

• Navigating Zoo pathways and sitting for 30 minutes
• Unpaved surfaces including loose dirt and gravel
• Wheelchair accessible
• Strong odors and spontaneous animal vocalizations may occur

 Photography Policy:

You are getting exclusive access to behind the scenes areas of the Zoo! Photos are not permitted to be taken by guests during the experience, unless otherwise indicated by staff.  But don’t worry, there will be a few great photo opportunities available! Zoo staff can take group shots or photos for you at certain points during the experience. Guests must provide their own camera or cell phone.
