The Little Rock Zoo in a stroller-friendly outdoor attraction featuring more than 725 animals over 33 acres of beautifully landscaped property.  Guests can walk leisurely through the entire Zoo in about two to three hours or spend more time in one specific area.  The Zoo is stroller friendly and ADA accessible.  Wagons and electric scooters are available for rental through the Zoo’s gift shop at the front entrance.

  

Safari Trader Gift Shop:

The Safari Trader Gift Shop offers a unique selection of animal-themed toys and gifts for
children and adults alike.  Stop by during the Christmas holiday season for our annual sale!

Cafe Africa: 

(Please note:  Cafe Africa will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays every week November 15 through February 1 & is closed Monday, June 15, 2009 for the Wild Wedding reception)

Looking for a refreshing break during your Zoo visit? Join us in Cafe Africa for a meal, a snack, or just to relax!  Cafe Africa is located across from the Civitan Pavilion in the heart of the Little Rock Zoo.  The Cafe features menu items such as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, fries, soda, ice cream, and other food items.  If you are traveling to the Zoo with a large group and would like to have box lunches available for your group at a certain time, please contact our office at (501) 661-7222 to make reservations.  Please, no outside food. 

 

Mosi's Snack Shack:

Mosi's snack shack located across from the Camels offers quick snacks and drinks.  Mosi's Snack Shack is only open when large numbers of guests are in the Zoo. 

Over-the-Jumps Carousel:

(Please note:  the carousel runs at the top of the hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and at the top of every hour the Zoo is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays)

The Little Rock Zoo is the proud home of the Arkansas Carousel, Over-the-Jumps.  This beautiful antique carousel is fully operational and available to ride when you visit the Zoo for $2 per person.  Please note:  because the carousel is an antique, it is often non-operational for regular maintenance.  Please ask a guest services representative at our gate whether-or-not the carousel is running when you arrive or call (501) 666-2406 prior to your trip. 

Train:

(Please note that the train will not be operating on Mondays or Tuesdays November 1 through March 1.)

All aboard!  The Little Rock Zoo's train is leaving the station for train rides every day at the Little Rock Zoo!  Rides are only $2 per person and advance tokens may be purchased at the front gate when you enter.  Please note:  in rainy weather the train will not opperate.  Call (501) 666-2406 prior to your trip if you would like to see if the train is running when you make your trip to the Little Rock Zoo.

Fish Feeding:

The Little Rock Zoo has several fish feeding stations located at the duck pond, Siamang exhibit, and lemur island.  Fish food may be purchased for .25 cents a handful.  Please, no feeding other animals with fish food!

Children's Farm:

The Little Rock Zoo Children's Farm is an interactive exhbit where guests can feed and pet goats and other animals in the yard.  The Children's Farm contact yard is only open during the spring and summer.  Visitors may feed the goats for .25 cents a handful at any time. 

Lorikeet Landing:

Lorikeet Landing is an all-new interactive exhibit at the Zoo where visitors can purchase a cup of lorikeet nectar for $2 and feed the nectar to our lorikeet birds.  Lorikeets are friendly and playful and enjoy interacting with our guests.  Lorikeet Landing is not open in the winter and late fall when temperatures are too cold for the birds. 

Special Events:

There are several special events at the Little Rock Zoo throughout the year that enhance our visitor experience.  Check our special events calendar on our homepage regularly for updates and special events listings!

Educational Presentations:

The Zoo hosts regular educational presentations on the Civitan Amphitheater stage.  Call (501) 666-2406 for a list of specific show times and dates or to book a private educational program for your group.
