Come celebrate our sweetest girl in the elephant yard!

Zina was born the wild, so we don’t know where she was born exactly, but the Zoo has been ecstatic to have had her since 2011.  She came to us from Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation in 2011.

Zina is one of three of the elephant females at the Little Rock Zoo.  She is described as “stubborn, sassy, and very vocal” by her human caretakers.  You can distinguish her from the other elephant females as she is the smallest of the elephants.  She has a long skinny trunk, a very long tail, and sunken-in cheeks.  

This “young lady” enjoys attention from her human caretakers.   She also enjoys spending time with her best friend, Babe. The birthday girl has two favorite snacks: bananas and watermelon.
