Summer 2011 ZooFari Classes

Our Zoofari Classes offer unique encounters with animals to teach children interesting information about zoology and wildlife conservation.  Classes change yearly and are held during the summer months. All classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon. Students will receive ONE "Sharon Simmons- Art Designed" T-shirt (design above) with class registration!

SCHEDULE

Connect the Tots  (4 yr to Kindergarten)

Monday 6/27 or 7/25           To See or Not to See- It's Just Batty!: All about bat vision! 
Tuesday 6/28 or 7/26          Big Cat, Little Cat: This is the "purrfect" class to explore our feline friends.
Wednesday 6/29 or 7/27     Toadally Awesome: Hop on over to the Zoo to learn about these awesome amphibians. 

Finders Keepers Camps (Grades 1-3)

Monday 6/13 or 7/11              Bugs, Slugs and Other Uggs: Explore the creeping, crawling insects and their secret lives.

Tuesday 6/14 or 7/12              Endangered Species:  Learn about endangered animals at the Little       Rock Zoo and how to help!

Wednesday 6/15 or 7/13        In A Drop:  Discover the hidden life in the Zoo pond.

Young Life Savers Camps (Grades 4-6)

Monday 6/20 or 7/18        Enriching Our Animals: Learn how we keep our animal's lives interesting!

Tuesday 6/2                     Wanna be a Keeper? (Hoofstock): What it takes to care for hoofstock!

Wednesday 6/20              Wanna be a Keeper? (Small Carnivores): What it takes to care for small carnivores!

Registration Information

 Space is limited and is on a first come, first served basis.  Please REGISTER early. 

Complete a separate form for each child. Payment is due with registration.
To register, contact the Little Rock Zoo at 661-7224 or FILL OUT A REGISTRATION FORM!

MEMBERS:                          $30 per class(es)

                                          $85 if child signs up for 3 classes (in given age category) 
                                                   

NON-MEMBERS:                  $35 per class(es)

                                          $100 if child signs up for 3 classes (in given age category)
 

Fees are non-refundable.

You may sign your child up for as many classes as you like, provided that he/she is the appropriate age or grade level.  Please register your child for the grade level just completed.  All students must meet the age deadline by June 1st.

Reservations will be accepted only by mail or in person. 

The fee must accompany the registration form to hold your place in the class. 

Payment is accepted with cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover).

Please choose an alternate class in case your first choice is full.
