Landscaping Volunteers

The Little Rock Zoo landscaping department is always looking for dedicated volunteers who have a strong commitment to the art of plant, flower, fruit, and vegetable care.  Garden clubs are invited to work with our landscaping department on special projects around the Zoo and general individual volunteers are needed to care for many acres of grounds.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

Available hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Volunteers do not normally work on weekends but some opportunities are available.

All volunteers must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.

Many types of work are performed by volunteers, depending on the time of year and the abilities of the volunteer. In the spring, tasks include planting trees, shrubs and bedding plants. In the summer, volunteers water flowerbeds and planters. In the fall and winter, volunteers rake leaves and spread mulch.

For information or to sign-up as a volunteer, contact Jj Muehlhausen at (501) 661-7230.
